Texts from existing documents (e.g. in *.doc or *.ppt format) can be transferred to Symbio using the copy/paste function, e.g. as a description in the corresponding text field in the Detail Content.
It is important to ensure that only unformatted texts are transferred correctly and fully displayed in the Manual.
We therefore recommend to proceed as follows:
Option 1:
- Copy text from source document (Ctrl + C)
- In Symbio, place the cursor where the text is to be pasted
- Click the right mouse button and select "Paste as unformatted text" (Ctrl + Shift + V) from the menu
- If required, carry out further formatting in Symbio
- Note: first add a line break before the bullet lists
Option 2:
- Copy text from source document (Ctrl + C)
- Copy text in a *txt document, e.g. in the Editor (Strg + V)
- Highlight text and copy again (Strg + C)
- In Symbio, place the cursor where the text is to be pasted
- Paste text in Symbio (Strg + V)
- If required, carry out further formatting in Symbio
- Note: first add a line break before the bullet lists
